To Acknowledge And To Understand

"I'm still amazed whenever I read books or the writings of the people who lived far before me; such as the philosophers, or like Simone; and found that they actually have been thinking about the problems that we are facing now and how still very relatable they are with us, now.

Sometimes I wonder, if only I have started to read philosophy since I was a kid, I might have grasped the idea of life much earlier and avoid many repeated mistakes that the people before me had done before.

Of course one could argue that life is personal, experiences are tailored, and conscience is a monologue, but still there are two purposes of learning something; first one to acknowledge and another to understand. Maybe it could speed up the acknowledge part."

A Perfectly Happy Artist

-When Beatrix Potter was a little girl, imagining stories about rabbits that wear smart jackets, she was a lonely child who needed to concoct some company. And when Monet paint his impressionistic water lilies, he was a man deeply dissatisfied with traditional views of nature. The inventions of writers and artists are forged through dissatisfaction. That discrepancy between the world we walk through and the world inside of us encourages some to try to build a bridge (in the shape of a book about talking bunnies or an impressionistic painting). A perfectly happy artist would be a failure.- "I disagree on the part of the perfectly happy artist, tho." "Oh why?" Freedom

Freedom is never cheap, but just like everything else in the world; there is always a price to pay to have it. The question is never about "How much?". Instead, it is always a matter of "Are you willing to pay the price for it?" --------- - Aim for a better tomorrow through healthy lifestyle, diverse insights, creative arts, and minimalist living. -  ViliaCiputra.com Thank you for supporting  my intention  through owning  my artworks , reading  my writings , and following  my Instagram . Bento Box

So, the last two weeks was actually a test and trial period for me. I've eliminated fried food almost half year, but intrigued to know whether there is a difference between fried food at home VS fried food at good restaurant chain VS fried food at street hawkers, on my cholesterol level. The result on me was; yes there is a HUGE difference between them. My cholesterol level was barely affected when I do pan fry (not deep fry) at home with olive oil (146/200) VS raised a little when I ate fried food at a good restaurant chain (165/200) VS a huge spike when I ate fried food at street hawkers (211/200). So, clearly the oil that we use, how many times it was being used, and how we cook, matters. I also got insights on my uric acid level. While my cholesterol level wasn't affected much, my uric acid level is a completely different story. My uric acid raised almost 0.5 - 0.8 points every time I dine out, even when I didn't eat red meat/ high purine food. My guess was; either the ...
