Marilyn Monroe

One of the most misunderstood artists of all time' that's how a friend and me named her lol.

Marilyn Monroe mostly identical with sex, sexy blonde, skirt being blown by wind, or her affair with the Kennedys. Simply said, most people take her as a typical pretty but dumb blonde, sadly.

If you read her autobiography, her writings, her biographies written by others, her stories and how she navigated around racism, royalty rules, the concept of beauty and skin color, or any deeper social issues, you'll get the different sides of her that never got proper spotlight from the media. She was actually a great thinker, someone who has a mind ahead of her time.

I'm pretty lucky that when my parents bought my first pc around 2.5 decades ago, the first disc that they provided me was the biography of great people, from pilot to actresses. I'm lucky enough that I've known Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, or Ella Firzgerald, long before I knew of how the media portrayed them.

Most rules are benefitting the ones with built power. That's why sometimes, you have to think out of the box and play without the rule book.

Gratitude

I know gratitude is important and I, myself, have been experiencing the positive effect of it. Yet, not until yesterday, I really witness the real power of gratitude. So, I joined Inalix's team building event virtually, yesterday. I've been managing and coordinating their digital presence and publication these few months. On that virtual meeting, we listened to the history of Inalix, and we get to know almost every members and listen to their stories. One of the newest colleagues that just joined Inalix is Wahid. He was one of the few who joined the event virtually as well. I could see he was laying down on his bed, and I thought he was sick.
