Freedom is never cheap, but just like everything else in the world; there is always a price to pay to have it. The question is never about "How much?". Instead, it is always a matter of "Are you willing to pay the price for it?"

Gratitude

I know gratitude is important and I, myself, have been experiencing the positive effect of it. Yet, not until yesterday, I really witness the real power of gratitude. So, I joined Inalix's team building event virtually, yesterday. I've been managing and coordinating their digital presence and publication these few months. On that virtual meeting, we listened to the history of Inalix, and we get to know almost every members and listen to their stories. One of the newest colleagues that just joined Inalix is Wahid. He was one of the few who joined the event virtually as well. I could see he was laying down on his bed, and I thought he was sick. Indeed, he was sick, but it wasn't the kind of sickness that I thought. His friend who took him to join Inalix, told us his story. Seni Dan Karya

Tidak akan pernah bisa kita membandingkan karya seseorang dengan lainnya. Dan memang bukan begitu juga cara kita menghargai sebuah karya. Sebuah karya butuh waktu dan pemahaman untuk dapat bekerja secara maksimal. Tujuan tiap orang membuat karya berbeda – beda, maka sudah tentu hasil karyanya akan berbeda juga. Sebuah karya itu seyogyanya adalah hasil dari pemikiran, pemahaman, perasaan, dan sudut pandang seorang pembuat karya, terhadap satu tema atau topik tertentu. Apakah seorang pembuat karya tersebut telah menyelami segalanya, atau hanya melihat dari permukaan saja, itu yg akan membedakan nilai dan rasa sebuah karya. Mungkin itu agak sulit dipahami? Begini saja. Kita ambil contoh mudahnya. Pemerkosaan. Mereka yg belum pernah mengalami ataupun berhubungan dengan pemerkosaan, akan sangat berbeda sudut pandangan nya dengan mereka yg sudah mengalami atau berhubungan dengan hal tersebut. Masterpiece

A masterpiece is not only the result of progressing skill sets of the artist/ creator. In my opinion, it is even more to the results of the expanding character and evolving mind of the artist, from time to time. How we grow our wisdom and our understanding towards ourselves and life, matter the most. How we choose to express them, what medium that we prefer, and which skill sets that we will use, will follow later. Art is just one of the few mediums that I chose to explore life, express my thoughts, and to expand myself. To experience life, explore myself, and encapsulated the journey through as many masterpieces as I could, is my main personal goal as an artist. However, being an artist is never my goal. To be a human that understand life, is. And that's how my priority works. Should there be one day for me to leave art behind and work with another medium to explore my path, I wouldn't hesitate even a split second to leave.
