Remember To Live

This quote reminded me of a conversation that I had with a close friend of mine, last week.

"I don't wanna spend my entire life to find solutions.", he told me firmly. And he is one of the most logical, non-judgemental, accepting, and caring person that I've ever known. He also reads lots of philosophy books and global-issues related books, and he is actually the first person that I would go to, whenever I need a deep discussions about philosophy, history, politics, religions, and even Western-Eastern related matters.

So, for someone like him, to put and end at the search of solutions, was both intriguing and yet relieving to me. Especially when it happened at the same time when I was actually trying to reconstruct my understanding and definition of time, energy, potentials, and life.

The urge to improve, is just as addictive as the urge to be different, or to reach perfection. Changes could be addicting at certain point, and it works like a distraction to our mind and towards the issues that we are facing.

At some point, we have to learn to sit with ourselves, to stop going around chasing solutions, face the current situation, be comfortable with it, and accept it as what it is. To enjoy life the way it is.

Sometimes, to not find any solution, is actually the solution.

----

"Whatever I've solved, I will have another pretty soon. It's just how the mind works; it either thinks of creating, spending or fixing. It doesn't bother whether it is creating a problem, or a solution, or a product, or an opportunity, or even a catastrophe. It just needs to process something. That's why meditation is good for the mind, and to have a problem that we don't solve, could be a good thing for the mind to have something to process, too. Enjoying life always is a good thing to do."

Now

H ello. You are on my Now page and these are the things that I'm currently focusing on: - Healthy, balanced, and mindful living is my first priority now. - I was hospitalized for a month from August - September 2022. Some viruses attacked a part of my brain and brain stem which causes imbalances on my motoric gravity, plus I had a gout attack for the first time in my life. My infusion had to be sewn on my neck cause the meds need to be inserted through the central vein for three weeks straight. I promised myself to never be that sick ever again, and determined to change my whole lifestyle, including to prioritize myself, my health, and my peace first. Since then, I have lost 22kgs, have been maintaining my uric acid level below 5.5, manage my cholesterol level down to 146, maintain my normal fast glucose level at 85, and been eating, exercising, and living healthier, plus doing so many changes in life including the way I sleep and raising my water intake level. - Creating intentio...

A Perfectly Happy Artist

-When Beatrix Potter was a little girl, imagining stories about rabbits that wear smart jackets, she was a lonely child who needed to concoct some company. And when Monet paint his impressionistic water lilies, he was a man deeply dissatisfied with traditional views of nature. The inventions of writers and artists are forged through dissatisfaction. That discrepancy between the world we walk through and the world inside of us encourages some to try to build a bridge (in the shape of a book about talking bunnies or an impressionistic painting). A perfectly happy artist would be a failure.- "I disagree on the part of the perfectly happy artist, tho." "Oh why?" "It just doesn't exist so it won't ever fail." --------- - Aim for a better tomorrow through healthy lifestyle, diverse insights, creative arts, and minimalist living. -  ViliaCiputra.com Thank you for supporting  my intention  through owning  my artworks , reading  my writings , and following ...

Noise

"At first, I thought it was just the noises of opinions in my head that distracted me, thinking that the world has become too noisy with too many sounds and distractions, that it becomes harder to really listen to myself. Turns out I was wrong. There were many noises around me that I didn't realize, engaging continuously with my brain and sensory, resulting a restless mind. I first noticed of how rare silence is, when I installed sound meter on my mobile last year, and started to use it ever since on every place that I visited, just to check the decibel meter around. The acceptable safe sound for average 24hrs exposure is below 70dB, yet we who live in the city, often being exposed to higher than that. For instance; the calmest midnight on my apartment would be around 45 - 52dB. Imagine daytime. The more I read and learn about how our body and mind work, the more I realize how important our surrounding and mental clarity is. How important solitude and silence are to the qualit...
