Remember To Live

This quote reminded me of a conversation that I had with a close friend of mine, last week.

"I don't wanna spend my entire life to find solutions.", he told me firmly. And he is one of the most logical, non-judgemental, accepting, and caring person that I've ever known. He also reads lots of philosophy books and global-issues related books, and he is actually the first person that I would go to, whenever I need a deep discussions about philosophy, history, politics, religions, and even Western-Eastern related matters.

So, for someone like him, to put and end at the search of solutions, was both intriguing and yet relieving to me. Especially when it happened at the same time when I was actually trying to reconstruct my understanding and definition of time, energy, potentials, and life.

The urge to improve, is just as addictive as the urge to be different, or to reach perfection. Changes could be addicting at certain point, and it works like a distraction to our mind and towards the issues that we are facing.

At some point, we have to learn to sit with ourselves, to stop going around chasing solutions, face the current situation, be comfortable with it, and accept it as what it is. To enjoy life the way it is.

Sometimes, to not find any solution, is actually the solution.

----

"Whatever I've solved, I will have another pretty soon. It's just how the mind works; it either thinks of creating, spending or fixing. It doesn't bother whether it is creating a problem, or a solution, or a product, or an opportunity, or even a catastrophe. It just needs to process something. That's why meditation is good for the mind, and to have a problem that we don't solve, could be a good thing for the mind to have something to process, too. Enjoying life always is a good thing to do."

A Day Without Mobile Phone

I purposely left all of my mobiles and gadgets home yesterday, and went to the mall with Mr.Odd with just two books that I wanna finished. It was an interesting experiment. First, I totally forgot about Peduli Lindungi app that we need to enter any place here hahaha 😂. Luckily the guard was nice enough and let us in after we explain about the situation and showed Mr.Odd's certificates and told him that I had mine at the same time as his. This also made us learn that we actually can link each other's vaccines certificate on the app lol. Well, we do keep each other's now just to be safe for next time. Secondly, it was so freeing. I have been putting off my mobile oftenly lately on working and reading hours, which I found to boost my productivity and focus a lot. Yet to really leave it at home and not having its' presence was a totally different feeling. I didn't feel the need to check anything, I give full attention to whatever around me and to everyone in front of m...

A Perfectly Happy Artist

-When Beatrix Potter was a little girl, imagining stories about rabbits that wear smart jackets, she was a lonely child who needed to concoct some company. And when Monet paint his impressionistic water lilies, he was a man deeply dissatisfied with traditional views of nature. The inventions of writers and artists are forged through dissatisfaction. That discrepancy between the world we walk through and the world inside of us encourages some to try to build a bridge (in the shape of a book about talking bunnies or an impressionistic painting). A perfectly happy artist would be a failure.- "I disagree on the part of the perfectly happy artist, tho." "Oh why?" "It just doesn't exist so it won't ever fail." --------- - Aim for a better tomorrow through healthy lifestyle, diverse insights, creative arts, and minimalist living. -  ViliaCiputra.com Thank you for supporting  my intention  through owning  my artworks , reading  my writings , and following ...

25kg Lost

Finally. I've been working hard and waiting to see this number pop ups for few weeks. Just like how swimming 20 first laps are piece of cake, and finishing the 60-70 laps feels like forever, I feel the same here. The leaner I am, the harder works and efforts that I have to put for results to be achieved, especially on weight. It is not even enough to just work hard these days. I really have to do things smarter; paying attention on my sleep, macros, tricking my metabolism, IF, carbo-protein fasting, etc Size went down pretty stable (that's probably why most health coach told us to rely on size more than weight), but still weight is one of the numbers that I wanna change. Size, visceral fat, muscle mass, and weight numbers to be exact. My visceral fat has been going down 4 points, yet I still have to go lower 2 points more to be at normal level. I am nowhere near my goal, still have a long way to go, and I know it will only get harder. But, I'll be there. 🖤 If you are on th...
